update

Not good. Yesterday after lunch, I received a more "official type" email from my agency. I called them yesterday and spoke to a staff member, but not my director. I am still waiting for a call back.

My world has been turned upside down and I am devastated.

Thank you for the comments in the last post. I will head over to your blogs and email you all privately. I need the support and I need to figure out what the hell is going on and what all of your agencies are saying. This whole thing just became way too personal and I no longer feel comfortable discussing on the World Wide Web. I'm also going to add an email link on my sidebar, if you would like to email me please do.

back to reality

I sent my agency a homestudy update question via email yesterday and received a response which totally caught me off guard.

In summary it said something to the effect of...if you still want to adopt, it might be in your best interest to switch programs because the China NSN program is not getting any better, nor will it.
I guess I should call and figure out what the heck this all means and honestly I'm a little scared.

Just dreamin'

Anyone ever daydream of what it will be like when you get "the call" or what it will be like on baby day?

I do.

Everyday.

I wonder where I'll be and what she'll look like, how old she will be, how big, who'll be around, and on and on and on and on.

I do know this. It probably won't be like anything I've imagined or dreamed of and it will probably be more than I could have ever possibly imagined.

I can hardly wait to see referrals this month! I am so excited to see the CCAA start matching families with 2006 LID's!!

Something has changed the past couple of weeks, I am starting to feel excited again....like this really actually might happen before I retire...lol! Perhaps it's the fact that I am in homestudy update mode, or knowing my documents are probably being reviewed right now, or perhaps I am just truly excited to see families being formed who were registered in 2006...whatever it is, it's good.

Happy Tuesday!

I just spent 4 glorious days doing pretty much nothing at all and loving every minute of it!

Let’s see, Thursday night (V-day) someone special and I hung out. We ate Chinese, I smelled my dozen red roses, he modeled his new Gonzaga hat, and we both ate too much chocolate. I know, not a ww friendly night...but whatever. Moving on.

Friday morning, 6:25 a.m., my BIL dropped off my nephew Thomas and we played until his mom got off of work at 11:30 a.m. I then hung out with my sister for awhile and then basically just lounged around for the rest of the day. I loved every minute of it.

On Saturday, I cleaned, did some errands, played on the computer, read blogs, and then my nephew Jackson came over in the afternoon to spend the night.

On Sunday morning, my sister stopped by with Thomas for a visit and we ended up watching Gone Baby Gone while the nephews napped. After, my other sis came over and picked up Jackson, Lexi and Thomas left as well, and I proceeded to watch the Jon and Kate plus 8 marathon and completely ignored my to-do list.

Yesterday, at 6:25 a.m. my BIL dropped off Thomas. He must have had a rough night as he fell asleep shortly after arriving and slept on my shoulder for 3 hours! After his “nap” we played until his mom got off of work. The three of us then headed to the valley on a mission to find work clothes (for me) Capri pants (for her). I ended up with a boring Old Na*vy sweatshirt and a super cute outfit for my girl.

Sheesh, now that I just re-read this post I guess I should have titled it Welcome to my LAZY world!

Happy Monday

Nothing much to report this early monday morning. Here's a bit of 'happenings' bullet style...

• My nephew Thomas had his 1st birthday on Saturday afternoon. It was pretty low key as the little guy has a cold and really wasn't much into playing and eating his b-day cake. I on the other hand hit the taco bar, ate too much sour cream yummy something dip, and then had a belly ache all night. Oh and bad auntie Sara forgot her camera...


• The snow is melting. It's a damn mess, but at least it's melting. I'm ready for spring.


• Work is horrible right now. I've got issues with both the full-time job and now the part-time teaching gig.


• I'm having a REALLY hard time regularly exercising and sticking to my diet. I'm good for a week, fall of the wagon and eat like crazy for a week, back on plan for a week, and so on...I finally realized that I am a stress eater. When I'm stressed I eat. When I'm depressed I eat. I can tell I'm in a slump right now, a funk if you will....


• I'm really not looking forward to updating my homestudy.


• I've decided to paint the nursery when I get word my docs are out of review.


• I have a 4 day weekend coming up! Since I busted my ass for the "event" last weekend, I'm taking Friday off AND Monday is a holiday.

Agency report

My agency sent out an update yesterday. It was downright depressing. There were two referrals received on Monday for non-special needs and the families waited 25 1/2 months from LID to referral. There was no mention of what they thought the wait might be moving forward, simply because no one knows...nothing new there and it still sucks.

I am wondering if it is safe for me to think that I am half way through this wait. My heart really wants it to be true, my mind says...keep on dreamin'....

It's update time...

A reminder popped up on my calendar this morning. It's time to contact my Idaho social worker and get going on updating my home study as it expires April 12th. I'm frightened at the thought of how much this will cost....$800-$1000 I'm guessing. ouch.

It's dumping snow again. We are supposed to get another 3-5 inches today. On a whim last night I started googling Mexico vacations. I. am. sick. of. the. snow.

PITA

Clearly I might have been hungry when writing the last post. I was thinking PETA and wrote PITA instead. The comments in the last post made me chuckle...

All is well, protesters were not at the event and the event went well. Most importantly, it is OVER! Yay! Now, my stress level has been greatly reduced. For those inquiring minds...it was a Wil*d Gam*e Feast...see, not so PETA friendly, but a very popular event around here at any rate.

I better get ready for work. I can't wait to see all the babies this month and for the love of everything...please let the CCAA get through 2005 this coming month. I just want to see 2006 matches already!

Oh and blogger spellcheck isn't working for me either...scary as I am a really bad speller. Sorry for any mistakes, I'm in a hurry this morning!

So, I'm at the office working on the seating chart for the big event (the fundraiser I coordinate for work). This event isn't exactly PITA friendly...remember I'm in North Idaho where hunting is a major sport. Get the idea??

So, I check my messages this morning and there is a lovely HATE message from an aussie ranting and raving about the menu and how it's a disgrace that we are holding the event and on and on and on...for like 3 minutes.

She ended the phone call with you are a wanker and I hope you die.

Neat. Just what I wanted to hear this morning.

I will shit if there are protesters at the event.
