WTF!!

I can't believe it! I am floored! I just found out via co-worker that my most favorite and certainly (in my opinion) the BEST dancer this season has been voted out. Boo hoo. I don't even want to watch anymore (who am I kidding? I'll cheer for Scary Spice next!). What the hell happened? I never watch the results show (who has the time?) only the Monday broadcast, Biggest Loser takes precedence for Tuesday t.v., and check the internet on Wednesday to see who has been voted off.

I'm pissed.

Sabrina is off and Marie Osmond is still on. So wrong.

I'll miss you Cheetah girl! You were my fav!

p.s. I still don't really know who the Cheetah Girls are....I know they are a hit with my friend Shelby's little tweeny bopper and that's about it.

p.p.s Here's my new take on swearing...I am quite sure that I will zip it in the potty mouth department if and when I ever become a mom, so until then...I'm going to let er' rip and get it all out now. :-)

Curiosity

Just for shits and giggles, I'd like to take a peek at Spanish RQ. Anyone have the link? My google skills seem to be lacking today....

Still here...

I haven't felt like blogging much lately. I'm still here, reading mostly and not commenting much (nothing new there though...) anyhoo...I'll be back soon.
Happy Halloween!

NWA

Next time you are flying on NWA look for a tall, handsome, skinny (he's kicking ass on ww) guy....he might be my brother Dustin, NWA's most recent hire and future star flight attendant.

Best of luck at your training Dustin!
Happy Birthday Mom!

10

I can't believe I missed it. This past Saturday marked 10 months waiting. Hello double digits.

Today I sent off another check to the US Department of Homeland Security Citizenship and Immigration services requesting a re-fingerprinting appointment. I also called my agency to make sure I was sending the right form letter and while visiting with them I did some probing. I didn't expect to learn anything new, but I asked anyway. In summary, the CCAA is still telling them to prepare their families for a 3 year wait. They don't think the non-special needs program will close. Personal opinion is that the immense slow down/back log has something to do with China and the 2008 Olympics.
I flat out asked her, "do you think I will get a referral?" She said "yes, eventually".

One thing I didn't know was the fact that I am 1 of only 5 families they processed as non-special needs adoptions in 2006. Only 5!! They submitted paperwork for over 70 special needs adoptions. No wonder I feel so lost and lonesome on my agency's yahoo board. The special needs adoption lingo is different from non-special needs, so I never know what anyone is talking about and I certainly don't feel connected in anyway. Anyhoo....

10 down ~ 26 more to go.

Spooky Spider Cookies

My nephew Jackson is coming over this afternoon and I am all set to make Spooky Spider cookies and carve pumpkins with him. Look how cute these cookies are and so easy to make, great for a 3 year old one would think.

There is one problem. I can't find the black licorice rope needed to make the legs and it's driving me crazy!! I've been to 3 stores and called another few...nope, no one has any. I have a couple more stops this afternoon, otherwise we are going with plan B - pretzel sticks.

Sooo not as much fun...

We'll see how the continued hunt for black licorice rope it goes.

TGIF!

My doggies

I'm back. Breaks are a good thing once in awhile I think. I feel refreshed and ready to get back into the groove of things (blogging that is...). I am ignoring the CCAA and everything that has to do with the adoption, my way of coping I guess. I pretty much try to avoid conversations about it and when asked "What's going on with the adoption?" my response is "just waiting...it'll happen at some point" and leave it at that. I'm coming up on 10 months waiting in a few days. Double digits! Crazy. Last year at this time I thought I'd be getting ready to go get her in a couple months. Oh well, maybe this time next year I'll be closer.
I took this pic of Timber and Dozer last night. I think it's cute, too bad my bed wasn't made. :-) Note the new quilt/bedspread whatever you call it...
