Snow pics

Blogger is being difficult...here are three for now.

ummm, yeah...

We've got a little bit of snow....the city is pretty much shut down. This is the third time this week they have closed the college. Apparently, this has only happened twice in the last 20 years or so...

I took a ton of pics this morning, I'll upload when I get home. Right now, I'm the only one on campus gathering work to take back home before the next storm hits. Good thing my event is THE DAY AFTER TOMORROW....sweet lord, this is NOT the time for mother nature to mess with my fundraiser. Crap. I have so much stuff to do...what to do what to do.

Oh and my arms feel like noodles, I've never shoveled so much in my life. At least I'm getting in some good cardio!

Something to report....sort of...

Word on the adoption boards is indicating November 2006 is through review. It's not confirmed, just some chatter here and there. Do you know what that means?

My adoption documents are probably being reviewed ummmmm RIGHT NOW! FREAKY!! I hope everything looks A OK!

So, for those of you who need a reminder as to what the review is all about:

Once my documents made it to China, a computer file was created. This is known as being "logged-in" and the point where I officially began waiting to be matched with a baby. Since then (12-13-06), my documents have been sitting on a shelf waiting to be "reviewed". Review is the point in the process where my documents are checked over one final time by a CCAA official to confirm that I meet all of the requirements necessary to adopt a child. It's a pretty important step, if I make it through review I am good to go. My documents will then be moved to another shelf where they will eventually be matched with MY baby.

13 months

I forgot about it this month. Sunday was my 13 month LID versary.

My brother busted me last night too. While waiting for my class to start, I was chatting with him on the phone...

Bro: "What are you doing?"

Me: "Oh, checking CAT to see what's going on..."

Bro: "I thought you were going to lay off that site for awhile!!"

Me: "I AM! I'm just checking to see if anyone LID Dec. 06 has been questioned in the review room yet...."

I'm sure he was just rolling his eyes at me on the other end :-)

Totally busy.

School has started, teaching two classes, the big annual fundraiser I hate coordinate is in 1 1/2 weeks, and I'm still trying to stay on top of my eating and exercise routine (so far so good)....whoa!

The next few months are going to FLY by.

I'm sick of my depressing, pissy, I'm sick of the adoption wait and the CCAA, post below...so how bout' a pretty pic of the Great Wall??

Have a great rest of the week!

Sweet and gentle _______! Seriously!!!!!!!!!!!!

Looks like we've been cut off. No more information from China.

I popped over to the Chinese Center for Adoption Affairs website this morning to check the review room status (where I believe my docs are right about now) and found this lovely update in the update box adoptive parents live for at the end of each month.

and now I'm at a loss for words.

Happy New Year!!

I'm alive and well. Finally. I was so sick for a good week and didn't feel better until the day before Christmas. Not fun.

I also boycotted my computer over the holidays, and am seriously out of the loop. If you sent me an email, my apologies!! I haven't checked lately. My bad.

I also told myself I wouldn't check anything (as in surf for any bit of info) China adoption related until the 1st of the year and was once again sadly disappointed when I popped over to this site only to see that referral news for this month doesn't seem to be great. This process is taking forever.

Ok enough of THAT!

2008 = new year new me.

I'm going to pull back from all things adoption and focus on something else. There are some work issues I need to deal with as well as my health. I'm still fat and I'm finally over it and ready to get serious (how many times have I wrote this?). Anyway, new year = new me.

I'll be checking in and reading from time to time, posting a couple times per month.

Again, wishing everyone a Happy New Year!
