Well, this year I'm just getting my feet wet. I purchased mooncakes for my students and my family members, and I'm going out for Chinese with the family. I'm sure there are other things going on this weekend in relation to the holiday, but I'll have to check those out another time.
We're going to our local FCC chapter's annual Moon Festival picnic, which is a lot of fun. We have Chinese arts and crafts for all the kids, a big barbeque and mooncakes for dessert (which hardly anyone likes, but it's tradition, right?) The weather is supposed to be fantastic this year, which is wonderful, since it poured rain at last year's!
