July 6th!!! It is getting sooooo close!
This is amazing!!
When I traveled in July 2006, We were told when we got there, that our group would actually get the kids on Sunday, not Monday like the rest of the group.
We literally went to the room, pulled together some stuff and ran to the bus.
i used those packing bags (which really do save space!) and packed one as "the pick up Kate bag". it really helped so I could grab it and go.
in it I had sippy cup (didn't know how to use. I had to put a hole in the lip) cheerios, toys, diaper/pull up (just in case) clothes (just in case)
I'd suggest you take some kid's spoons with you if she might use them. It took a few days for me to get that the restaurants only had ceramic spoons and Kate would throw them and break them. I had to pay for each and every one. (like $16 a piece!)
have fun.

OMG!It's happening!!!!

How exciting!!!
Sara - I am SOOOOO out of the loop with things, but I've been reading your blog just not commenting - because I'm a sucky friend!!!!
I am SOOOOO EXCITED FOR YOU!!! Even John was like "I can't believe Sara - YOUR Sara - is headed to China already!" ... and neither can I!
I'm so happy for you, so thrilled... I can't wait to follow your journey!!!!
Hugs to you my friend!!!
In a few days your life will change forever, Sara. But that's a good thing. I know you have doubts at times & that's what it means to be human. But a favorite of mine, W.S. once wrote, "Our doubts are traitors & make us lose the good we oft mine win by fearing to attempt." You're not only attempting, you're completing the dream. Congratulations. Believe me, Miya will be worth it. All the worries, frustrations, fears of being responsible for a new life are forgotten as you watch young Miya become the beautiful young woman you will have helped her become. In fact you are the agent of change because of what you're doing this week. Will follow you each step of the way.
sooooooo happy for you, and totally bummed i'll be without a computer through ALL OF NEXT week. I'll be sure to hit your site first though when I get back from my disney family reunion :)
Wow...I can't believe how fast everything is happening for you. You'll have your little girl in little more than a week!
I have been reading but not commenting much. Everything is moving very quickly for you now! Everything will fall into place don't worry.
OMG! I just realized it is after 12:00. You will be leaving in O - N - E more day!!!!!!!!!! I can't wait to see pictures of the two of you together!!!!
Smiles! :o)
Nikki
